The following pages commemorate the heroic actions of a few of the many rescuers I have had the privilege of meeting in the course of researching material for TO SAVE A LIFE: STORIES OF JEWISH RESCUE.

I will be adding new pages to this section with each update.

These abbreviated summaries barely touch the surface of the complex stories of the deeds undertaken to protect Jewish lives. My wish is that they may serve, even in this necessarily shortened form, as an example for others, for they prove that it is possible for ordinary people to make a difference, to act for social justice in an imperfect world.
